Night shift is usually 10-20 people. Two hundred people could shut a datacenter down with nothing but a Wikipedia article on fiber optics and some enthusiasm. Start swinging and you’ll hit something valuable pretty fast.
The "secure cages"? Chain link. The lobby's got badges and mancatchers and a guard who checks your ID like it insulted him. Out back it's a sliding metal door, propped open with a folding chair by whoever's waiting on FedEx.
It's not a fortress. It's a strip mall with better cable management.

The surest way I’ve found to get a doctor to pay attention to privacy concerns is to ask if the watch/recorder/whatever is on the other side is “HIPAA Compliant”. This is the law to protect the privacy of your health information. If they don’t know, ask for the contact info for their HIPAA Compliance Officer. Every company that touches private health information is required to have one. You might have to call the most senior person to find out. Why should they care? If they don’t give you this info and answer your questions, you can complain to US Health and Human Services (online form) and that can kick off an investigation that can get very serious. In addition to big $$ fines, a company (including universities) can lose ALL access to Federal contracts and grants FOREVER.
Is Apple HIPAA compliant? I have not yet asked.

Office Copilot, for example, ran with elevated privileges that gave it access to everything in SharePoint that was visible to any user. This made it a source of a whole bunch of information leaks that weren't exploitable via other paths. I'm not sure if they've actually fixed this or if they've added 'guardrails' (whacking a load of text in the system prompt to say 'please please pretty please don't share any file that the user shouldn't have access to please').

Les amis -amies. Excusez-moi de vous déranger un dimanche mais c’est très URGENT : une offensive d’une ampleur inédite au niveau nationale contre les personnes LGBTI+ vient de commencer en Turquie. Dans l’obscurité de l’aube, les autorités turques ont lancé une vague coordonnée de perquisitions et d’arrestations visant les organisations LGBTI+, les militant·es et les défenseur·ses des droits humains. Le nombre exact de personnes interpellées reste inconnu, mais il dépasse déjà 160 depuis 1h du matin.
Le choix de la date est glaçant : à l’occasion du 46e anniversaire du coup d’État militaire du 12 septembre, les sites internet et les comptes sur les réseaux sociaux de nombreuses organisations LGBTI+, de médias indépendants, de collectifs étudiants, de défenseur·ses des droits humains et de militant·es ont été saisis.
À partir de 1 heure du matin, dans la nuit du 12 au 13 septembre, les opérations se sont étendues à quinze provinces, notamment Ankara, Mersin, Kuşadası, Istanbul et Izmir. Des associations LGBTI+, des militant·es, des défenseur·ses indépendant·es des droits humains, ainsi que certains établissements et lieux de travail, ont été pris pour cible. Des domiciles ont été perquisitionnés avant l’aube. Des portes ont été forcées. À Istanbul, même les locaux d’organisations apportant un soutien vital aux personnes vivant avec le VIH ont été investis.
Le ministre de la Justice, Akın Gürlek, a annoncé que les opérations menées à Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Aydın et Mersin avaient reçu le nom cynique de « Ma famille est en sécurité ». Il a déclaré que plus de 160 militant·es avaient été interpellé·es. Une seconde vague de perquisitions s’est ensuite poursuivie à Istanbul.
Soyons parfaitement clair·es : il ne s’agit pas de protéger les familles. Il s’agit d’une campagne coordonnée d’intimidation et de répression dirigée contre les personnes LGBTI+, leurs organisations, leurs allié·es et toutes celles et tous ceux qui défendent les libertés fondamentales.
Les opérations sont toujours en cours. Les militant·es attendent dans la peur, sans savoir qui sera la prochaine cible.
Nous appelons de toute urgence les organisations internationales de défense des droits humains, les élu·es, les syndicats, les organisations de la société civile, les journalistes et toutes les personnes attachées à l’égalité et à la liberté à agir dès maintenant.
Prenez publiquement position. Diffusez les informations vérifiées. Interpellez vos représentant·es. Exigez la libération immédiate des personnes détenues et l’arrêt des perquisitions.
Le silence ne protégera pas les personnes attaquées. Il ne fera qu’encourager la répression.
Soyons solidaires des communautés LGBTI+ de Turquie.. Avant qu’il ne soit trop tard.
